Mobile Apps - Error: Syncronization cannot be completed because Outlook cannot open the Task folder

Outlook 2007, WMDC 6.1, Axim x50v running WM2003 SE

Error: "Synchronization cannot be completed because Microsoft Outlook
cannot open the Task folder. Close Outlook. Restart Outlook. With
Outlook running, disconnect mobile device and reconnet. If the problem
persists, reinstall Outlook."

I tried this and it doesn't work.

Notes and Files sync fine, so I know the connection is working. It's
the Outlook 2007 Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks that don't work.
Weirdly, Outlook Notes *do* sync.

Everything was working fine until I decided to tidy things up a bit.
(Yeah, I know. I should have left things alone.) I cleaned up and
moved my .pst files to another drive. Could be some files missing
that point to the location of the .pst files? I only moved the .pst
files.

What I've tried. Running a repair install on Outlook. Ran Office
Diagnostics, which found nothing wrong. And of course I followed the
directions in the error message.

Help! I need to get my syncing back.

I'm running Vista Ultimate with MS Office 2007. Every time i try to sync
outlook with my HP iPAQ (Win CE 2005) rx3115 I get this error message

THE TASK FOLDER. CLOSE OUTLOOK AND THEN START OUTLOOK AGAIN. ONCE OUTLOOK IS
RUNNING, DISCONNECT YOUR MOBILE DEVICE AND RECONNECT. IF THE PROBLEM
PRESISTS, REINSTALL OUTLOOK"

This is what i have tried so far:

1. Uninstall & Reinstall Windows Mobile Device Center version 6.1
2. Downloaded all available updates from MS through Auto Updater
3. Uninstall & Reinstall Outlook 2007
4. Uninstall & Reinstall Outlook 2003 no change
5. Did a hard reset on my PDA
6. Did everything they talk about on this website
http://modernnomads.info/wiki/index.php?page=Windows+Mobile+Device+Center+Troubleshooting (One of the best I found)

I did have it workign for sometime that out of no where it just stopped
syncing. It does connect becaue i can browse all the files on the PDA
throught Windows Explorer and it does show up in My Computer. I can sync with
Media Player but that's only music. I need it to sync with Outlook. It worked
fine when I had XP Pro with MS Office 2007. Anyone have any thought ides???
I'M AT MY WITS END...???

Following myself up.

I tried the site Losh gave:
http://modernnomads.info/wiki/index.php?page=Windows+Mobile+Device+Center+Troubleshooting

Great site, but it didn't help.

More information: The sync error I get is: "Calendar, Contacts, Tasks,
Notes: Attention required."

The odd part is that Notes sync OK, as do Files. I've tried enabling
syncing for Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks individually. They don't
sync.

I ran scanpst.exe on my .pst file and it found no errors. I've
reinstalled the WMDC 6.1 update , as in the beginning you had to
install WMDC twice in Vista 64-bit.

I still think this was caused by moving my .pst file. While WMDC
seems to be finding the new location (otherwise Notes wouldn't sync),
I don't know how to tell it to sync with the new location.

Can any help? Please??????

I did a hard reset on my unit and that should have deleted all the files on
it. However, I still kept on having the same issue.

I posted my error message on another forums and got some great suggestions
and results.

But, even with the great suggestions you got, evidently you still have
the problem. Reading what you wrote there, I think you mentioned that
you got partial syncing. That's what I was getting - I could sync
Files and Notes, but not Calendar, Tasks, or Contacts.

One thing I discovered during my trouble shooting that I havne't seen
mentioned anywhere is that the default .pst file *has* to reside on
the C: drive. The archive and other .pst files can be elsewhere. I
had moved my .pst's to my D: drive to enable backing them up easier.
And, yes, I had set the path correctly in Data File Mangement.

I saw the syncing problem with the default .pst on D. When I moved
it back to C:, I was able to sync again. But not immediately. At
first I got the error message, but after a minute syncing started and
I was back in business. I did lose my carefully crafted Rules, but
could have saved them if I'd backed them up before the move back.

cannot sync with Outlook 2007 Mobile Apps I've read there were extensive complaints last year about Outlook 2007 killing peoples' ability to sync. Is there any update to that, or a solution found and have been synchronizing with no problem until recently, when I upgraded my PC from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007. Now, every time I try to sync, AS gets through the Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and

What's The Problem? Mobile Apps I am using an HP iPAQ h2215 PocketPC and Outlook 2003, along with ActiveSync 4.5. If I create the event or appointment using my device, it synchronizes perfectly fine, even if I modify it in Outlook. However, if the event or appointment is created in Outlook, it will not synchronize. How can I install Outlook Mobile 2007 on my phone? Mobile Apps Hi, My phone comes preinstalled with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. However, Outlook Mobile 2007 is not installed amongst the office mobile programs. Word mobile, excel mobile, notes mobile and powerpoint mobile are installed but there is no outlook mobile 2007. As I would be looking to synchronise my windows smartphone with an Exchange server over the air, it is imperative that I have Outlook Mobile installed on my device.
