Mobile Apps - Read Only Files

Hi at all...
i'm a new user of this site....and i would study the windows mobile 6
operating system..But...for this reasons i've a necessary to understand how
can i edit the read-only file in the /windows directory, for example shell32
or device.exe??

it is not possible to edit the files in ROM.  Period.

Download the eval of Platform Builder and walk through the tutorials.  Get
yourself some training.  Buy some hardware with a BSP.

move my driver from MODULES to FILES ?I wanted to read a file from release directory and after moving that to FILES section I can read that now but don't know if the performance of the driver will have any impact. Further path, but a relative path is not valid under CE because it requires a "current" directory as reference, but CE doesn't have a current directory. Try to put the DLL into the root directory or use an absolute path, if that works, you know what is wrong. You can work around the lack of a current directory (which is a bad idea under desktop versions, too, because the current directory can change, causing LoadLibrary() to fail suddenly) by simply using the directory with the executable

could not see my driver in HKLM. I checked the reginit.ini and the release directory (WM / release / xxxxxx / wpc / )to see if the driver entries were there or not and need to change to get my driver in the image.
