I want to sync my birthday calendar, holiday calendar, and other calendar's
with my mobile device and then have that sync with windows live calendar?

Is this possible... to sync it on the go. What if I do not have the phone
with me and I want to add something online like say a contact or a birthday
or something and I want to sync it with my phone is this possible?

Unfortunately, you have two obstacles here- Windows Mobile devices only
support one Calendar, and Windows Live calendar does not sync with Windows
Mobile, only Outlook does natively. If you use Outlook you should be able
to sync a Windows Live calendar with Outlook, then sync the Outlook calendar
to your device. You could combine your calendars using categories instead
of separate calendars to merge them all into one sycable calendar.

Microsoft added Windows Live Contacts sync to Windows Mobile a while ago-
hopefully they will add Live Calendar sync soon as well.

They were asking about a Windows Mobile device, not a Palm WebOS based
device. Hopefully Microsoft will add calendar synchronization to their next
update to the Windows Mobile client.

does NOT have a phone with it. Now it seems I need to use Microsoft Outlook to be able to Synchronize it. And of course Outlook insists on trying to connect to the internet. I do NOT want my PDA to it is completely imbedded in the blacktop! That does make a difference with some software. What are you trying to synchronize? Outlook is required to sync Contacts, Calendar and Tasks, but not to sync files or to install programs to it from the PC. Outlook on the desktop or the PDA is trying to connect? On the desktop Outlook will try to connect to the internet to retrieve email (if you have entered email for example.) Not really. The Windows Mobile equivalent of Palm Desktop is a combination of Outlook and Activesync (if you use WinXP, WMDC if you use Vista or 7.) Take a model because I want it completely separate from my phone. Yet every time I open Outlook it refuses to allow me to do anything because I do not want to use
Was muss ich tun? Was sonst? Alternatives to ActiveSync to get around non-support of Outlook 2000? Mobile Apps I have a Verizon XV6900 (HTC Touch) running Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. It came with ActiveSyn 4.5, which ran okay with my laptop and Outlook 2000. It was a bit hesitant at times, but managed all right. Then I upgraded kick in a good direction would be most appreciated. (However, many probably require a newer version of Outlook than 2000.) Similar to Google Sync, Microsoft (finally!) added EAS support to Windows Live / Hotmail can sync email, Contacts, and Calendar with the Live / Hotmail servers, and then sync with Outlook using the "Outlook Connector" which adds Live / Hotmail support to Outlook (again, this might require Outlook 2003+, though
How can I install Outlook Mobile 2007 on my phone? Mobile Apps Hi, My phone comes preinstalled with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. However, Outlook Mobile 2007 is not installed amongst the office mobile programs. Word mobile, excel mobile, notes mobile and powerpoint mobile are installed but there is no outlook mobile 2007. As I would be looking to synchronise my windows smartphone with an Exchange server over the air, it is imperative that I have Outlook Mobile installed on my device. I expected my phone to come preinstalled with Outlook Mobile. If I wanted to sychronise mail on my phone with Outlook 2003 messages on my PC using ActiveSync 4.5, would I also need to have Outlook Mobile installed on my phone? How can I get or buy Outlook Mobile for my phone or is this not possible? I would be obliged if anyone
Outlook and AS Mobile Apps I am confused about the relationship between Outlook (2002 in my case) and AS. If I have my PPC cradled, is it normal (essential?) for Outlook to remain running too? Often I am surprised to find OUTLOOK.EXE in the XP Task Manager, long after I have used Outlook to create a new task or whatever and closed it. Sometimes (not always!) when I then start Outlook again from its shortcut, it does not work. I have to go to TM and kill it then try again. - - Terry, East Grinstead, UK PocketPC Active Sync Discussions Outlook 2003 (1) Outlook (1) XP (1) ActiveSync (1) WinFax (1) PPC (1) PDA (1) This link offers a
