Mobile Apps - Messaging Won't Launch

Asked By Brent D. Braaten

I have a Samsung i760 with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.

It was working fine through the end of the day yesterday, starting this
morning now the messaging feature will not launch at all. I cannot get
into any part of it; text messaging, emails, mms messages.

Any ideas what is wrong?

Thanks,

Brent.

have you tried a soft reset?

I tried several. I tried a soft reset by itself and that did not help.
From there I removed a few programs I'd added recently but did not
really 'need' and would soft reset after each removal to see if that
helped. Sadly none were successful.

I needed to get it back up and running so I ended up trying a hard reset
and that did the trick. Wasn't the way I wanted to go, but it worked.

Thanks anyway,

Brent.

The next time you experience this issue, locate and delete the
Inbox.mst12345657678 folder on your device and reboot.

I have the same problem, but I cannot find any folder or file like the one you
describe. Any clues on where it should be located?

Did you configure Messaging to save attachments to the storage card? If yes,
then the file should be in the root of the card.

No, I did not configure the attachments to be in any particular place.

You should find it in the /Windows/Messaging folder.

must be different with different os versions... I have that folder, but
no file by that name... only the attachments folder and that is empty.

I do use text messaging, and I am interested in this since it has
happened to me once and a hard reset was the only option then to recover
use of text messaging.

I am using WinMo 6.1, and I do not see any file or folder starting with "inbox"
in my \Windows\Messaging folder

Samsung Saga i770 wakes without cause Mobile Apps Hi all, Sorry if this the wrong group, but I could not find a newsgroup for Samsung phones. I also posted this question in the Samsung forum on Howard Forums. My Samsung Saga i770 (running WM6.1 and on Verizon) tends to wake up on its own all three of these previously without any hint of the wake up issue on my Samsung SCH-i760, and before that a Treo 700w also without any trouble of this sort Bloomington, IN, USA Using any BT stuff?
