Hello, is there a way to select an email from a displayed list without
opening it? What I want to do is highlight an email from a list so I can
delete it. I have a Samsung Saga with touchscreen. Thanks.

Try <tap-hold>

You can also <tap-drag>

Finally, after you <tap-hold> to mark the first one, you can tap <ctrl>
on the sip keyboard, then continue and tap others to make a multiple
delete or other action on selections of multiple messages.

The above works in all compliant apps although it got removed from the
pim apps.

Thanks Beverly. Is there a good place to find shortcuts like this?

One key thing to remember is that <tap-hold> is the winmobile equivalent
of <right-click> ...that, and all of the onscreen keyboard commands such
as <ctrl> <shift> <ctrl-A> etc, work the same way they do in windows.
(hardware keyboards are often not equivalent)

Another is that <help> is context sensitive, so, it is a valuable tool
during the learning process.

another is to try keyboard "swipes" i.e. put the stylus on an onscreen
keyboard letter and "swipe up" ... every 90 degrees does something
different ;-)
