Mobile Apps - Mounting an ISO image file under WinCE 5.0.

Hi,

Greets.
I would like to mount an ISO image file and access like any other
drive/folder under CE 5.0. shell. Is it possible to mount an ISO image
file under WinCE 5.0 Environment?  If so, will CDFS/UDFS file system will
get attached to the same? Can you please help me out.

It is not supported natively by OS. Try to google
for a third party solution, however it is unlikely
you will find one. What device is it? If you have
IDE or USB Host on it, may be there is no need for
mounting ISO images ...

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.
Its just a general purpose device unit and it acts like a thin
client. It has an IDE (Flash card). In that IDE, i will have one ISO image
which needs to be mounted and get accessed. Does this info make any
difference to your answer?

No, I mean a separate IDE or USB port where you
can attach a CD/DVD-ROM and read the burned ISO ...

If it is something that has to be done by
the end user then it is not a good idea of
course.

Is there any serious reason for using ISO and
not a different format that doesn't require
special solutions?
