Hi
Is it possible to create a virtual com port to an USB port (COM3: for
example) ?
I think I have to use serialusb.dll but I do not know how.
I try this :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\USB\LoadClients\65535_562\Default\Default\Serial_Class]
And what else ?
When I connect my usb device winCE ask me the name of the USB driver.
Thanks for all help

That driver is used to connect your device to a PC - so USB Fucntion on your
device to USB Host on the PC.
What are you actually trying to do?

Hi,
I think that what you mean is a so called "CDC driver".
This emulates comport functionality over USB, and exposes it to the OS as a
regular comport. This is commonly known as a "virtual comport".
This does not come standard with WinCE.
It is available comercially, unfortunately you then pay per licence.
Or you can write one yourself (I did so for a client).
Kind regards,
Rob

We want to connect a device to an usb port and communicate with it via a COM
port (com3 for example) like a standard serial com port. We already do it
with windowss XP.
We have found a paid driver, but the price is a problem....
We will write it, but we are rookie under CE and driver developpment and we
do not have enough time.
Rob, if you already do it, could you send us a demo version and a price for
a complete version ? If it is possible of course.
Thanks a lot for your help
Alro.
